You don't have to be mad to own one, but it helps!

Hi, my name is Lynn Swain, and this site is dedicated to those who have such a big part in my life.

I live in Devon, with my husband and two children, and have been showing for many years. I am a qualified nail technician and am always busy with various craft projects, although working full time in a call centre for a mobile phone company does not allow for a lot of free time!!  I am also a dedicated committee member of Plymouth & District Canine Society.

I started showing my husband's dobermann, Duke, and caught the bug, sadly not something my children appear to have inherited. Since then, in addition to my own dogs, I have shown others belonging to friends, family and acquaintances, in all groups, both at Open and Championship show level.

I saw my first miniature pinscher many years ago whilst showing one of my dobermanns.  Nicky Mackie (Hawksflight) had this small bundle of energy in the ring which looked absolutely gorgeous. I went home thinking "yes, I could live with that!".  I got a black and tan dog, Bruno (Kilmuir Cepheus) from Harriet McLean, of the Kilmuir affix,  and away we went!!

I have developed a passion for red minpins.

From my first red, Kilmuir La Castagna, through to my current dogs, there is just something about them!

Theo (Mikang Main Attraction); Lizzie (Kilmuir La Castagna) who was my first serious showing minpin, and Chilli (Jaycroft Too Hot To Handle) who was the first dog I ever got a Reserve Challenge Certificate with, over the seas in Belfast.
